Leigh Perry is vice president of Charitable Giving for Alabama Power, president of the Alabama Power Foundation and executive director of the Alabama Business Charitable Trust Fund.

The Charitable Giving team was organized under Leigh’s leadership in 2010 to focus Alabama Power’s philanthropic and volunteer efforts. Leigh believes that philanthropy provides vital opportunities to make positive and permanent change in communities throughout Alabama. By having the Foundation’s financial strength aligned with Alabama Power’s vast people resources, she and her team actively engage with other corporate and community leaders across the state in order to make that kind of impact.

During her career, Leigh has held various positions at Alabama Power and its parent, Southern Company; including serving in the Washington office, leadership roles in economic and community development, environmental affairs, compliance, information technology and in real estate. Her wide breadth of experience at Alabama Power and Southern Company combined with her passion for positive change make her an ideal fit to lead Alabama Power’s Charitable Giving organization.
